Spend three days with Madeline Black, learning and exploring the thorax. Every task requires thoracic control and mobility. The ability to rotate and move the ribcage is necessary for breathing and normal movement function. The thorax is the foundation for whole body dynamic alignment, and balance. This is your invitation to uncover how the thorax, more than any other structure, unlocks the body's capacity for movement and connection.
Over the three days you will learn:
Day 1 — Focus on thoracic structure, function and breath
6 contact hours
Anatomy of the thorax, four regions.
Myofascial continuous connections in relation to gait movement.
Addressing rib flare and rib motions.
Understanding the diaphragms, their relationships and impact of pressures.
